The athlete earned international recognition and affection by giving the world one of the most memorable events in the history of sports - scoring the first-ever perfect ten on asymmetric bars in the Montreal Olympic Games in 1976. Additionally, she had six other perfect 10s and made her 14 years of age, the youngest Olympic medallist in every category.
